Release Notes
October 10, 2026
- Creators: a creator page is a real overview now. Open any writer or artist and the top of the page tells you how many issues they have in the catalog, across how many series, the years they were active and the publisher they did most of it for. Below that you get their biggest runs ranked by how many issues they did on each, their latest issues, their trades, the events they worked on and the characters that show up most in their books
September 24, 2026
- Catalog: signed Dynamic Forces copies stop landing in the release lists. A DF signed or remarqued copy is the same comic with a signature on it and a collector price on top, and the solicitation import filed each one as its own series. Weekly and monthly release lists were carrying hundreds of them. New solicitations skip them now
September 16, 2026
- Bins: rename a bin, or throw one out. Open any bin and the header now carries Edit Bin and Delete Bin. Fix a typo in the title, rewrite the note under it, or clear out a bin you stopped using. Deleting a bin only deletes the bin, the comics you filed in it stay in your collection
- Catalog: a run that only came out in trade shows up again. The volume picker on a series page listed a volume only when it held single issues, so a run collected straight to trade or hardcover had its volume disappear, with no note saying why. A volume counts now when it holds issues or collected editions
- Catalog: a publisher page no longer lists series with nothing behind them. Merging duplicate series leaves the emptied ones in place, and they used to sit in the list as dead links with no volumes and no issues
- The front page is the app now. Land on comicade.com and you get this week's releases and the months that are coming, with real covers, before anyone asks you for anything. Collect, pull or add to your wishlist straight off the page with no account, and your picks stay in your browser while you keep looking
- Picked something you want to keep? Your picks follow you through checkout and land in your collection, your pull list and your wishlist exactly where you put them. Nothing to re-enter
- Checkout: your purchase is yours. A checkout link is now tied to the browser that started it, so a link that leaks out of your history or a support thread cannot be used to get into your account

- Collection: import your longbox from a spreadsheet. Export a .csv, .xls or .xlsx from your old tracker with a code column, put the UPC off the back cover or the ISBN off the trade in it, and upload the file. We match every code against the catalog and show you the matches before a single comic lands in your collection. Quantity, what you paid, the date you bought it, the grade, your tags and a bin all come across when your file carries them, and we open a report for every code the catalog does not hold yet. A book that is not out yet stays out, the same way the collect button holds it back, and the preview groups those rows so you know which ones to bring back later. The Import from a file button sits at the top of your collection
- Scanner: scanning issue 10 says issue 10. The barcode scanner read the trailing zero off a whole number, so #10 came back as #1, #100 came back as #1, and #20 came back as #2. Decimal numbers like #12.5 were never affected. The same name is now used everywhere we show an issue, so the scanner, the pickers and the import preview all say the same thing
- Bins: your bin assignments stay yours. Filing a comic into one of your bins used to move the same comic into another collector's bin, so books you had sorted turned up in a bin you never put them in. Every bin row now belongs to the collector who filed it
- Wishlist: narrow the list down to one run. The Series pill lists only the runs you actually have on your wishlist, so it never offers you a filter that comes back empty. It catches the trades too, not just the singles, and it stacks with the type, release and publisher pills you already had
- Accessibility: the buttons on an issue row say what they do. Collect, pull, wishlist, read, more options and the cover zoom used to read out as a bare "button" on a screen reader, so the row gave you five identical controls. Each one names its action now, and the name flips when the state does
- Collection: download your entire collection as a spreadsheet. One row per copy, so a second copy of the same book keeps its own price and grade, with your bins, tags, grades and ratings in their own columns. Ask for it from any collection tab and the file lands when it is ready. It stays downloadable for a day
September 11, 2026
- Wishlist: filter the list instead of scrolling it. Narrow by type to see only the trades you are still missing, by release window to split what is on the shelf now from what is still coming, by publisher, or by title. Reset filters puts it all back
- Wishlist: sorting survives page two. Sorting by title and then scrolling used to pull the rest of your list back in the default order, so one list changed its ordering rule halfway down
- Wishlist: an empty wishlist tells you it is empty, and a filter that matches nothing says so instead of showing you a blank page
- Collection: the table view holds your collected editions too. The grid already showed them, the table did not, so switching to the table quietly dropped every trade, hardcover and omnibus you own. Tick a mix of singles and editions and every bulk action works on exactly what you picked
- Catalog: an issue with no UPC and a trade with no ISBN now ask you for it. If you have the book in hand, read the barcode off the back cover and send it in from the page. We check it and it goes live on the page. On an issue, your name joins the contributors on it
- Collection: the Table button works. Switching to the table flashed a list of issues and snapped back to the grid, so the table view was unreachable from the screen. It also starts at the top of your collection now, instead of dropping you on whatever page you had scrolled to
- Collection: the Collected Editions tab is gone, and nothing moved out of reach. Your old link lands on the same books, and the Collected filter shows every trade, hardcover and omnibus in one list
- Collection: your trades, hardcovers and omnibuses now sit in the same list as your single issues, sorted together. The Publications tab is everything you own in one run, and the format control narrows it to issues, trades, hardcovers or omnibuses when you want one kind
- Collection: /collection is your collection now, not a summary of it. It opens straight on your publications, and the tabs for Series and Stats sit above the list. The old landing page showed you four counts and three short rows, then made you click again to get to your books. Your totals, your bins and your latest additions all live on the Stats tab
- Collection: page two of a filtered list keeps the filter. Searching your collection and then scrolling used to pull in the rest of your books, so a search for one title ended up showing everything you own
- Collection: your old bookmarks still work. A saved link to the issues list or the series list lands on the right tab, with your search and your sort intact
September 10, 2026
- Collected editions: every trade, hardcover and omnibus card now carries a read toggle, the same one a single issue card has. Mark a book read from your collection, your collected editions shelf, a publisher page, a series tab, a solicitation month or a catalog search, anywhere you already own it
- Reading queue: your trades, hardcovers and omnibuses now show up in the queue next to your single issues. The queue used to hold them and draw none of them, so a collector who reads mostly collected editions saw an empty screen. Mark an edition read straight from its card, and unmark it the same way
- Reading queue: Mark all read now clears your trades, hardcovers and omnibuses too, not just your singles. The unread count on the queue and the not read tile on your dashboard count the same list, so a shelf of unread collected editions no longer reads as nothing to mark
- Series pull list and wishlist: the pull list and wishlist tabs on a series now list every issue you have not collected yet. The old filter dropped some of them
- Community feed: marking a trade, a hardcover or an omnibus read now gets a real card. A read of a trade used to leave the row hanging after your name, with no title and no cover, because the feed only knew how to draw a single issue. It shows the edition title, its cover and a link that lands on the edition
- Collected editions: you can now rate and review a trade, a hardcover or an omnibus. The review box only ever worked on single issues, so an edition page had nowhere to say what you thought of the collection. Write a review, edit it, delete it, and it lands in the community feed with the edition title and its cover
- Dashboard: Share Your Thoughts now lists the trades, hardcovers and omnibuses you have read and not reviewed, alongside your single issues. The row only ever read your singles, so a collector who reads mostly collected editions was told they had reviewed everything. Rate an edition from its cover and the review box opens on the edition, not on an issue
- Reading queue: marking something read no longer errors out when the book has been merged away. If an edition or an issue was folded into another one after your page loaded, the click used to fail with a server error and nothing got marked. It now skips the stale one and still marks everything else you picked
September 4, 2026
- My Reports: everything you told us was missing from the catalog now lives in one place, under My Reports in your account menu. See every report you filed, read where each one stands in plain language instead of guessing at a badge, and read the team's answer when a report is closed. If a report is still waiting and you do not need it any more, withdraw it
- Catalog navigation: five links that went nowhere now land where they say. The publisher crumb on an issue page, the solicitation link on an issue, the other collected editions of an event, the series list on an event page, and View All Notes all used to hit a 404
- Issue pages: the previous and next buttons read the run the right way round. The back arrow used to walk you forward and the forward arrow back. They are labelled Previous and Next now, so the run reads in order
- Top nav: the tab for the section you are in is marked. Every tab used to look the same on every page
September 3, 2026
- Reading order: event reading orders now run in true release order. Months used to sort by the month number and ignore the year, so a crossover that ran from September to February opened on January. Start at the first issue and read straight through
- Events: the publisher event list keeps loading past the first screen. Events with no issues yet used to break the list halfway down, so the rest of the crossovers never showed up. Scroll the whole run now, in any sort order
August 21, 2026
- Catch Up: the page that lists what you pulled but have not collected now covers this week too, not just past weeks. Every pull still waiting sits on one page, newest first, with this week flagged. No more stepping the pull list back a week at a time to find what you missed
July 8, 2026
- Barcode scanner: now reliably reads the five-digit add-on on single issues. The scanner switched to a decoder that catches the main code and the add-on together, so it lands on the exact issue, cover, and printing instead of dropping the add-on and guessing
July 7, 2026
- Final Order Cutoff: new FOC list in the catalog shows every issue with an order cutoff this week, so you can lock your pulls with your shop before the deadline. Filter by publisher, flip to My pulls only, switch between grid and table, and step week to week. It opens on the next week that actually has cutoffs, and a card on the catalog home drops you straight in
June 19, 2026
- Public profile: your collector profile now lives at a clean, shareable link (comicade.com/u/your-handle) with a built-in link preview card when you drop it in a chat or post. Hit Share on your profile to copy it. Account settings moved to their own Settings screen
- Budget: new spending breakdown chart. Switch between this week, this month, this year, last year, or a custom date range, then view your spend day by day, week by week, or month by month to see where your money went
June 10, 2026
- Solicitations: redesigned. The month index, a single solicitation, its publisher list, and each publisher's books now share the same clean look as the catalog. Cleaner headers, white cards, and a calmer reading layout so you can scan what is shipping and build your pull list
- Collection: redesigned. Covers now sit in a tighter grid so you see more of your run per screen, the stat cards swipe two at a time on phones, and the Latest Issues, Series, and Collected Editions sections run edge to edge on mobile
June 9, 2026
- Creators: creator cards now show a mosaic of their six most popular issue covers behind the name, so you can spot who you collect at a glance instead of scanning a wall of gray tiles. The same card now carries across the catalog, search, and the full Creators index
June 8, 2026
- Publisher pages: redesigned. Lead with what is releasing this week from that publisher, then the most popular runs, events, collected editions, and a row of monthly solicitations that drop you straight into that publisher's books for the month
- Catalog: the publisher row now surfaces the six publishers with the most popular runs instead of a hand-picked set
- Barcode scanner: now reads the second barcode on single issues. Comic covers carry two barcodes, the main code plus a small five-digit add-on that pins down the exact issue, cover, and printing. The scanner waits for the add-on so it lands on the right book instead of a list of guesses
- Reading queue: new Mark all read button clears the whole queue at once after a quick confirm. Handy when you backfill issues you already read
June 5, 2026
- Community: the Community page is now a hub. It pulls together recent activity, hauls, reading clubs, and lists, with the full activity feed one tap away
- Hauls: new public Hauls gallery shows what collectors pulled, traded, and brought home, with a full-screen photo lightbox

May 29, 2026

- Solicitations: monthly page redesigned in the Comicade yellow palette with a clean hero, pulled issue count, and cover price total shown above your pull list. Featured issues rank by volume popularity, and top publishers rank by aggregate volume popularity for the month
- Solicitations: editorial page redesigned with a yellow hero, format counts (issues, trades, hardcovers, omnibuses), single-row filter bar with title and creator search, format and creator dropdowns, a pulled-only toggle, structured-data SEO, and canonical URLs
May 7, 2026
- Search: redesigned results page with tabs for Volumes, Issues, Collected, Creators, and Events, each showing a count of matches
- Search: filter sidebar with publisher, decade chips, status (collected, pulled, wishlist, read), format (trade paperback, hardcover, omnibus, issue), and a covers toggle (all / regular / variants)
- Search: status filter narrows volumes, issues, and collected editions to what is in your library
- Search: sort by most popular, most relevant, newest first, or title (A–Z); popular runs surface first by default
- Search: results are now keyed to volumes (e.g. "Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 5 (2018)") instead of generic series, so distinct runs no longer collapse together
- Search: status badges on volumes show at a glance which results are already collected, pulled, wishlisted, or read — including when only some issues from the volume match
